This frustrated me to no end... I should just take $30 and flush it down the commode. I have tried to keep it from happening buying organizers and keep all the disc in the original cases.

Scratches on the bottom polymer layer of Cds, DVDs and game disc account for 90% of all disc errors. Luckly for you, with the right equiptment your disc can be resurfaced and play like NEW! If you look at the diagram to the left you will see that every disc has four layers. On most of the CDs and DVDs in the world today the bottom layer accounts for 90% of the thickness of the disc. With Blu-ray, HD DVD and PS3 disc the bottom layer only accounts for 8% of the thinkness. These disk have a harder polymer then traditional disc but the can be scratched and damaged.
